The price is amazing and it is worth every penny. But as a reliable, basic, attractive clock radio this model certainly can't be beat. The signal comes in good which is important but the sound of the radio is a little tinny. The other thing to remember is that this is a basic clock radio so the sound quality of the radio is adequate to listen to for a short time before bed or to wake up to but certainly not of a quality you would use as a regular radio around your home.

I think I just might sleep through the alarm if it was set to the buzzer. Luckily I prefer to wake to the radio and there you can adjust the volume. The only reasons I gave this 4 stars and not 5 is because if you set the alarm to go off to the buzzer the volume level is not very high and it is not adjustable. Daylight savings time was last week and at 2 am the clock automatically adjusted itself to 3 am. I have had this unit for many months now and it still keeps time perfectly. So what I wanted was a basic alarm clock that looks attractive on my nighstand and kept excellent time. Once you get used to to the log lever it becomes simple to use and also to double check the time set. I find it extremely easy to set the alarm on this model. It is compact and the numerals are a great size for viewing with a light brightness perfect to see without being too bright.

The size of the unit is also very good for my nightstand. When I plugged it in it automatically started running at the correct current time. I always rely on SONY and saw this radio, was amazed at its price and all it had to offer and quickly ordered it. It didn't stop working but it just started to look old and I wanted something new and fresh.
